Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb asparagus trimmed
  • 8-10 slices of prosciutto halved lengthwise
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Freshly cracked black pepper optional
  • Lemon zest or shaved Parmesan for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Trim the woody ends off the asparagus spears by snapping them or cutting with a knife.
  • Take a slice of prosciutto and wrap it tightly around each asparagus spear, starting at the base and spiraling upward.
  • Arrange the wrapped asparagus on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with black pepper, if desired.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the prosciutto is crispy and the asparagus is tender.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with lemon zest or shaved Parmesan before serving, if you like. Serve warm and enjoy!
