- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp culinary lavender finely chopped or ground
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup honey

- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1-2 tsp milk
- Pinch of culinary lavender for garnish
Step 1: Prep the Oven and Baking Sheet
Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/4 tsp salt, and 1 tbsp finely chopped or ground culinary lavender. Set aside.
Step 3: Cream the Butter and Sugar
In a large bowl, beat 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter and 1/4 cup granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Add 1/4 cup honey and 1 tsp vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
Step 4: Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Step 5: Shape the Cookies
Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Gently press down on each ball with the bottom of a glass or your fingers to slightly flatten them.
Step 6: Bake the Cookies
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Step 7: Make the Optional Glaze
In a small bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1-2 tsp milk until smooth.
Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cookies and sprinkle with a pinch of culinary lavender for garnish.
