- 8 oz spaghetti
- 2 cans 5 oz each tuna in olive oil, drained
- 1/4 cup capers drained and rinsed
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve some pasta water before draining.
In a large sauté pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add the tuna, capers, and chili flakes to the pan. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the flavors meld together.
Add the cooked spaghetti to the pan and toss gently to coat in the tuna and caper mixture. If needed, add some pasta water to adjust the consistency.
Squeeze the lemon juice over the spaghetti and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
