Taco Salad

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce shredded
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Optional toppings: avocado, black olives, sour cream, salsa, etc.

  • Dressing of your choice ranch, French, salsa, etc.
  • Crushed tortilla chips

Instructions
 

Brown the Beef:

  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.

Season the Beef:

  • Add the taco seasoning to the browned beef and stir well to combine. Cook for another minute or two, until the seasoning is fragrant.

Prepare the Lettuce:

  • Wash and dry the lettuce. Shred or chop it into bite-sized pieces.

Assemble the Salads:

  • Divide the shredded lettuce among individual bowls or a large serving platter. Top with the seasoned ground beef and your desired toppings, such as tomatoes, onions, cheese, avocado, and olives.

Add Dressing and Chips:

  • Drizzle the dressing over the salads and top with crushed tortilla chips just before serving. Enjoy!
