- 2 medium apples peeled and chopped
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 egg for egg wash
- 1 tbsp water for egg wash
- 1-2 tbsp coarse sugar for sprinkling
