- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups water milk, or a mix of both
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup optional
- 1 cup fresh fruit berries, sliced bananas, or chopped mango
- 1/4 cup nuts or seeds optional
- Dash of cinnamon or nutmeg optional
In a saucepan, bring water or milk to a gentle boil. Stir in the oats and salt.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until creamy.
Sweeten with honey or maple syrup, if desired.
Spoon oatmeal into bowls and top with fresh fruit. Add nuts, seeds, or a sprinkle of cinnamon for extra flavor.
