Nutty Cobbler Cups

Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet store-bought puff pastry thawed
  • 2 medium peaches or apples peeled and chopped
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ cup chopped nuts almonds, pecans, or walnuts
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • 1 tbsp water for egg wash
  • 1-2 tbsp coarse sugar for sprinkling

Instructions
 

Prepare the pastry:

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 6 squares. Press into a muffin tin.

Prepare the filling:

  • Toss the fruit with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and nuts.

Assemble the cups:

  • Spoon the filling into the pastry cups. Top with pastry strips, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with sugar.

Bake:

  • Bake for 18-20 minutes, until golden and bubbling. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
