Ingredients

For the Marinade:

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped (or 1 tsp dried parsley)
  • 1 tsp fresh dill chopped (or ½ tsp dried dill)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Walleye:

  • 4 walleye fillets about 6 oz each
  • Lemon wedges for serving
  • Fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, parsley, dill, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the walleye fillets in a shallow dish or resealable bag. Pour the marinade over the fish, turning to coat evenly. Let marinate for 10-15 minutes.

Preheat the Grill:

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F/200°C). Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.

Grill the Walleye:

  • Place the walleye fillets on the grill, skin-side down if they have skin. Grill for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

Serve and Enjoy:

  • Transfer the grilled walleye to a platter. Garnish with fresh herbs and lemon wedges. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
