Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey/plant-based meat
  • 1 packet taco seasoning or homemade mix
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 can refried beans 15 oz
  • 2 cups shredded cheese cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a mix
  • 6 large flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Optional toppings: shredded lettuce diced tomatoes, avocado, tortilla chips, hot sauce

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
  • Add taco seasoning and salsa to the beef, stirring to combine.
  • In a greased 9x13 casserole dish, place one tortilla at the bottom. Spread a thin layer of refried beans, beef mixture, and shredded cheese. Repeat layers until ingredients are used up, finishing with a tortilla and cheese on top.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve with your favorite toppings.
