Creamy Garlic Parmesan Pasta

- 12 oz pasta fettuccine, spaghetti, or penne
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley chopped (optional, for garnish)
Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer gently for 2-3 minutes.
Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
